About Diane

Adventure

Diane Soini has 10 years of experience leading hikes for the Sierra Club. She often leads the more adventurous hikes, taking people to places not plotted on maps or creating physical challenges that lead people to discover the quirky delights of our chaparral mountains.

She is an accomplished lightweight backpacker. She recently completed 1500 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail, hiking from the Mexican border to Mt. Shasta in three months solo. She has backpacked in the mountains of the San Rafael Wilderness and feels right at home in our chaparral woodlands.

Diane would be happy to consult on lightweight backpacking techniques or provide hiking guide services for local businesses.

Web Development

Diane has 7 years of experience in Web Development for Citrix Online, QAD Inc. and consumers of JotSpot wikis.

She was a guest blogger on JotSpot’s Developer Connection, blogging on the subject of Cascading Style Sheets, and produced customized wikis for dozens of JotSpot customers. At QAD she supported the eLearning department by building and maintaining the web application systems that run the Learning Management System, the LMS reporting tools, and in-house web applications used in the development of multimedia learning content.

Diane is available for contract work, consultation and one-time gigs.
